This position is part of the cash flow projections team. The team’s core responsibility is producing and owning cash flow projection results. Results are used internally (EV, FP&A) and externally (PBR, CFT). The team’s core tasks are to roll forward the MG-ALFA projection model from one quarter to the next, perform waterfall analysis on the results, and maintain compliance with PBR and CFT regulations.
Between reporting periods, the team is expected to improve documentation, improve processes and model governance, deliver ad-hoc analysis, learn about the company and how its cash flows are modeled, and stay up to date with current and emerging regulation PBR and CFT regulation.
This position reports to the Appointed Actuary.
This is a fully remote position, preference will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of industry experience with a background in total company modeling
- Working knowledge in MG-ALFA
- Strong knowledge of the valuation/modeling process
- Strong knowledge of life insurance and annuity products
- Strong knowledge of the cash flows of an insurance company
- Strong analytical, problem solving, technical, documentation, and communication skills
- Wants to build controls and ensure orderly roll forward execution
- Wants to perform roll forward waterfall analysis
- Wants to learn how an insurance company is modeled and how results are reported
- Wants to learn about the assets, liabilities, and capital of an insurance company
