Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to advance our vision of becoming a finance and accounting capability that creates a competitive advantage for KES. This person will lead an accounting team of principled entrepreneurs to transform our organization by applying Principle Based Management to identify and close gaps between current performance and a finance of the future Capability.
This role is based in Wichita, Kansas and reports to the KES Assistant Controller. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.
Our Team
The KES Controllers organization is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, accounting, and internal controls of the company. Our team ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, which is critical for decision-making and maintaining trust with stakeholders. The team works closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives aligned with the company's vision and goals.
What You Will Do
- Lead an accounting team and develop effective talent strategies to attract and develop a motivated team of empowered principled entrepreneurs.
- Utilize the division of labor by comparative advantage to ensure the right people are in the right roles, and the Capability possesses the talent, technology, and processes necessary to maximize outcomes.
- Build robust partnerships with key internal stakeholders, such as the KII Controller Organization and business finance, to enhance mutual understanding and support the organization's evolving needs.
- Partner closely with KES capability leaders to understand and forecast all components of internal billings.
- Contribute to the monthly forecasting and annual planning processes at a business and KES-wide level.
- Develop informative and transparent reporting for leadership (business and capability) to support business decision making globally.
- Ensure execution of reporting requirements for KES, KII, and external parties.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience as a supervisor in leading a team, with proven ability in talent development including selection, retention, development, and optimization.
- Knowledge of and experience with accounting and financial principles, controls, and processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present financial concepts to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize and teach economic thinking principles, frameworks, and tools.
- Ability to travel 25% to both domestic and international locations.
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5 or more years of a combination of experience in Accounting and Analyst roles.
- Experience using Power BI, Alteryx, or other data analytic and visualization tools.
- Experience in OneStream, Infor, or any large ERP systems.
