We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage various accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
Responsible for the accurate keying and processing of business transactions in our accounting system.
Accounts Payable: weekly check run, reconcile vendor statements, and manage vendor balances. Process vendor payments through various payment methods (checks, ACH, etc.).
Accounts Receivable: cash application, process and research credits/debits, collections, forecasting cash flow.
Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable controls accounts to aging reports.
Reconcile credit card and liability accounts monthly.
Responsible for owning, reviewing, and improving processes as required.
Prepare applicable monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Monthly general ledger account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliation.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in the appropriate time period.
Working with operations, vendors, and customers to problem solve as needed.
Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Responsible for performing other duties as may be assigned in the future.

Experience

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as an accountant.
Must have excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365, including advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, graphs, data manipulation/analysis, and formula creation).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.
High degree of responsibility and initiative with the desire to advance beyond this position.
