As the Accounting & Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, personalized service to a valued collection of small business clients. Your expertise will be crucial in accurately preparing and meticulously reviewing tax filings. Additionally, your role involves fostering and expanding relationships with these clients, ensuring they receive the focused attention and specialized support that is essential for the growth and success of their businesses.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Staff Accountants on shared account issues.
- Lead weekly staff meetings with Staff Accountants and attend weekly manager meetings with the firm President.
- Manage assigned client sections, ensuring:
- Efficient Staff Accountant time allocation using Task Budget vs. Actual reports.
- Timely completion of work using the Incomplete Project report.
- Collection calls and transitioning clients to the firm's ACH system.
- Accuracy of Staff Accountant work.
- Review monthly financial statements and proactively contact clients for Meaningful Monthly Contact.
- Represent clients in sales and income tax audits.
- Complete tax plans and individual tax returns, year-end financials, and business tax returns for assigned clients.
- Lead installation meetings for new clients.
- Assign backwork and set-up activities based on the Post Installation Checklist.
- Follow up on client-initiated questions and issues.
- Allocate all compensated time to clients, firm, or unallocated.
- Complete assigned projects, review client fees, and communicate adjustments while striving for project efficiency improvements.
- Answer telephone calls enthusiastically and build client relationships during interactions.
- Collaborate and support other staff members when needed.
Requirements:
- CPA or EA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting supervisory or managerial experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in tax return preparation (1040, 1065, 1120) is a prerequisite.
- Minimum of 3 years working within a CPA firm - working with small business clients.
Preferred Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
- Willingness to maintain a minimum of 120 CPE credit hours every three years, with a minimum of four hours in professional ethics.
- Ability to work until 4:30 and on Saturdays during tax season.
