This position is in the Section of Plastic Surgery in the Michigan Center for Hand Outcomes and Innovative Research (MCHOIR). The team consists of nearly 30 members, including faculty, fellows, research staff, and students. MCHOIR staff perform a wide array of clinical and health services research. Primary methodologies include decision analyses, large database studies, and clinical trials.
Responsibilities*
- Analyzes and interprets data for clinical research projects.
- Familiarity with administrative data, statistical programming and analysis, SAS, Stata, and R packages.
- Assist in writing clinical research grants and protocols.
- Assists in writing results for reports and manuscripts for publication.
- Screens and has oversight for the recruitment of subjects, collects, processes and analyzes data, and manages full- and part-time research assistants.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
Desired Qualifications*
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong writing ability are required.
- Knowledge of IRB research applications and amendments.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and citation management.
