What you'll do
- Responsible for job cost tracking, monitoring, analysis and reporting of actual costs vs. budgets
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Maintain general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, etc.
- Post journal entries to general ledger
- Assist with month/quarter/year end close and financial reporting
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Develop job cost reports to enable land team to track status of jobs relative to commitments and budgets

What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably in construction (home building is a HUGE +)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Bonus points
- Experience in JD Edwards or similar ERP system preferred
