Working Conditions
This position is located in the Riverpoint Marketplace area of West Sacramento near the IKEA. Our building offers a free parking lot to employees and is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops.
- Incumbent is expected to communicate tactfully and effectively (orally and in writing) in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- This position requires incumbent to maintain consistent and regular attendance and adhere to department policies and procedures regarding attendance and use of leave. Overtime may be required during peak times and special projects.
- This position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with CAL FIRE’s telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required in addition to the standard state application (Form STD 678). Applicants who do not submit a SOQ or address the items listed below will not be considered for an interview. The SOQ should be no more than two (2) pages in length with one (1) inch margins and in Arial 12-point font. Number each response and include your name at the top of the document.
The SOQ should describe your experience, training and education that addresses the following:
- Please describe your knowledge, skills, and experience with accounting-based operational duties.
- This position involves communication with various Units within the Department and external agencies to meet payment deadlines. Please provide an example of when you needed to obtain information from outside sources to process an invoice and the outcome.
