Location: Irving, TX (Onsite)
Job Description
The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, preparing business requirements documents, and providing strategic advice for the development and implementation of business applications. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet business objectives, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and document user requirements by leading customer interviews, workshops, and other approaches to gather data.
- Analyze customer requirements, create user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
- Design business processes, develop workflow diagrams, and document functional specifications.
- Develop test plans, execute tests, and perform quality assurance on system changes and enhancements.
- Analyze current business systems, processes, and data flows.
- Create data models and provide statistical analysis.
- Develop use-cases and user scenarios that illustrate current and future system functionality.
- Write SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Develop system architecture and design documents.
- Provide strategic advice to the development team to ensure that the solutions meet customer requirements, industry best practices, and adhere to company standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
- Operations background in Consumer/Retail banking.
- Proven experience in gathering and analyzing customer requirements, developing technical specifications, and testing applications.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Test-Driven Development.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, and SQL.
