Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Data Administrator to join our Finance department located in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday thru Friday during regular business hours. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the administration, data accuracy, and security of finance related software systems used at NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the day to day administration of the financial reporting system, which includes ensuring data accuracy, maintenance, and security within the supported system.
- Develop and update standard processes used to maintain the supported system.
- Perform data reconciliations between the source system(s) and the supported system. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate discrepancies that cannot be resolved in a timely manner to supervisor.
- Serve as the liaison between the department, data analytics, and information technology departments. Lead the distribution of data to assist in the monthly financial close process.
- Participate in all meetings and/or committees related to changes in the data specifications of a source system and/or the supported system.
- Coordinate any needed data with departmental leadership to ensure the supported system is properly maintained, configured, and the data contained is accurate and current.
- Maintain user access and security of the supported system. Ensure end users have the appropriate level of access to information contained within the supported system based upon the end user’s responsibilities within NS-EEH.
- Investigate any security related concerns regarding end-user access and coordinate with information technology and human resources to ensure only appropriate individuals have access to information within the supported system.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 2+ years of work experience in systems data administration experience preferred.
- PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team, to adapt easily in a dynamic environment, and to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Experience with Strata, Lawson, or equivalent ERP system preferred.
