ACCOUNTANT
Metals USA Plates and Shapes, Inc is seeking an Accountant for its Langhorne PA Office. Metals USA is a leading metals processor/distributor in North America. We are a solid, growth-oriented company servicing the defense, commercial construction, and aerospace and fabrication industries.
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position encompasses a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, year-end audit preparation, and fixed assets.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Accurate preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for month/quarter/year end close.
- Prepare and distribute month end reports for multiple companies.
- Monitor and analyze processes and procedures to develop more efficient use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Coordinate documentation and preparation for annual internal and financial audits.
- Maintain fixed assets for multiple regions within corporate software program.
- Assist with special projects within the accounting department, including annual capital expense budgeting.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis in Accounting.
- Must have 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as either a cost, financial or managerial accountant.
- Must have strong Microsoft Excel, Access and Word skills.
- Must have strong knowledge of internal controls.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Metals USA offers a competitive starting salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 and benefits program plus upward mobility professional growth.
