Job Overview:
This team is dedicated to opening customer investment accounts and maintaining customer data and account features throughout the account lifecycle. Accurate and complete customer and account data is crucial for meeting regulatory recordkeeping standards and is necessary to the successful execution of downstream control and transaction activity.
This position will report directly to the VP of Operations. The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills and will be expected to support internal and external consumers, mitigate, and resolve complex escalations, and strategically support the LPL and departmental goals and objectives.
The manager will be responsible for supervising and supporting the New Accounts team resulting in superior service delivery to advisors and clients, and managing expectations and providing oversight to external vendors to ensure productivity and accuracy goals are achieved. The manager will work closely with internal departments and external vendors to support ongoing process improvement and project implementations. The manager should be skilled in team building and managing multiple groups with varying SLAs and operational needs. Additionally, they will need to be a team player, possess excellent time management skills, and work well in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task with multiple operational processes and data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expertise over the New Account Opening and Maintenance process and assessing areas of improvement for the transformation of current operational functions.
- Effectively communicating goals, monitoring progress, motivating and managing expectations of the team, internal partners and vendor partners.
- Directing talent acquisition and retention efforts, and administering reviews, development plans, personnel coaching and performance counseling.
- Collaborating with business partners to align workflow expectations and commitments.
- Partnering with our offshore team to ensure cohesion and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and next level escalation management.
- Interfacing with partners and counterparts across departments to facilitate cross-functional resource sharing as necessary resulting in a more flexible staffing model.
- Developing and modifying departmental policies, procedures and fail-safes to ensure increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensuring that all processes satisfy regulatory requirements, supervisory control activities are being performed, and SLAs are being met.
- Supporting and contributing toward the successful execution of projects and initiatives that support LPL and departmental priorities.

Requirements:
- Minimum of five years financial service operations experience, with minimum of two years of direct supervisory/management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
- FINRA Series 99 or 7 licenses or ability to obtain within 120 days.
- Expert operational knowledge, preferably in New Accounts operations including Advisory, Brokerage and Direct Business areas.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory environments and requirements provided by Federal Regulators (SEC); Self-Regulatory Organizations (FINRA) and State Regulatory Departments.

- Change Agent, able to define the future state and implement change as necessary.
- Proven ability as a structured, logical thinker.
- Rich experience with formal quality systems, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Creative, flexible and an experienced practitioner; with a growth mindset and superior collaboration skills.
Preferences:
- Lean, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Design Thinking, or Agile-Scrum Methodology.
Pay Range:
$71,200-$106,800/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
