In this critical Finance role, you will manage general ledger processing and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. You will manage quarterly auditor reviews and annual audit and ensure the maintenance of a sound internal control system and the management of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. This is primarily an onsite role but offers the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing monthly internal financial reporting package and analysis and associated month end reports
- Manage SOX compliance
- Plan and coordinate quarterly auditor reviews and annual audit including SOX compliance
- Lead the Accounting team
- Provide analytical support to other departments
- Manage month end close process which includes generating or reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform the accounting associated with complex revenue arrangements (services revenue recognition)
- Assist with Annual Operating Plan preparation and analysis
- Provide ongoing analysis and tracking of actual results to Operating Plan throughout the year
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial projections
Skills
This position could be a great fit for you if you are personable and dependable with the ability and desire to grow and expand your skills along with the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience
- CPA with public accounting (audit) experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated technical abilities to direct maintenance of the general ledger and development of financial statements
- Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP")
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret records, statements and reports
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus!
