G.A. West & Co., Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Creola, AL office. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity. This is not a remote role and does require reporting to our office location. Monday – Friday schedule. More details below:
Responsibilities:
- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
- Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Communicate with vendors and maintain vendor records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required
- Must have 2-3 years of experience with accounts payable
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with Excel
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Must have effective communication skills both verbal and written
