G.A. West & Co., Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Creola, AL office. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity. This is not a remote role and does require reporting to our office location. Monday – Friday schedule. More details below:

Responsibilities:

Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
Communicate with vendors and maintain vendor records

Qualifications:

High school diploma is required
Must have 2-3 years of experience with accounts payable
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with Excel
Strong time management and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Must have effective communication skills both verbal and written
