The Financial Specialist supports the Member Support Manager – Finance by focusing on member-related research, sales recoveries, reporting, and financial support activities. This role involves close collaboration with finance and accounting teams while continuously assessing member needs and implementing new solutions, reports, or processes as business requirements evolve.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, Network Members, suppliers, and internal sales teams to reconcile Member transmissions and identify missing sales.
- Assist Members with transmission issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Conduct sales research and support the month-end close process, working closely with the finance and accounting teams.
- Assist with sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Provide ad hoc Corporate Account sales analysis, sharing insights with the internal team and Member contacts as needed, and addressing outstanding issues promptly.
- Support the annual financial audit by assisting with data collection and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Member Support
- Manage and review Member CA aging development, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding AR issues.
- Assist in the Member transmission process, ensuring early detection and resolution of missed transmissions; develop tools to enhance this process as needed.
- Help create best practices to reduce recurring Member billing and coding issues, improving efficiency.
- Support IT initiatives such as Distributor Hub and recommend solutions to help Members optimize their use of Network’s platform.
- Serve as a liaison for finance-related Member issues and act as a member advocate within the finance team.
- Identify and implement new processes to better support Members and drive organizational efficiency through cross-functional collaboration.
- Continuously evaluate and eliminate redundant tasks between Network and its Members to enhance overall efficiency.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Experience in data entry and ability to reconcile variances between different data sources.
- Basic analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer service mindset.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating initiative and independence.
- Flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to member service.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Work History: 0–2 years of experience in a high-volume financial environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP and/or Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a plus.
