Key Responsibilities Include:
- Portfolio Manager: Be the singular point of communication of the BU Long Range Plan to Demand Planning, Operations, and Executive Management.
- Work with Business Development (BD) to consolidate regional forecasts into a master file. Analyze and challenge assumptions while still keeping ultimate responsibility at the BD level to execute to their plan that includes production released programs, identified weighted pipeline, and “go get” based on their regional business plans. Audit changes to ensure such are event driven rather than by uncertainty. Highlight unresolved concerns/discrepancies to GM.
- Meet with GM monthly to discuss any gaps between the internal BD roll-up and the overall SFBU external-facing forecast. Agree on Portfolio Management override to the BD forecast to determine any revisions to the external forecast.
- Populate IBP with the revised agreed upon external forecast. Review and resolve any discrepancies between “actuals” being reported and internal BU expectations.
- Prepare and present the BU forecast PowerPoint and graphs for the monthly executive review. Champion the SFBU long-term vision while accurately reporting the changes made from the previous cycle.
- Work with BD to create end market/regional portfolios that enable selling same/similar devices at different price points.
- Understand the competitive landscape including the price and the associated pros and cons of the competing solutions.
- Review price recommendations from BD/Sales and analyze how their guidance fits into the overall segment.
- Approve/revise quotation requests in Vistex. Ensure both Resale and Distributor Cost match expectations for the specific opportunity.
- Manage lead-time/order placement expectations with field and distribution to address any gaps between the demand forecast within lead-time and the hard backlog.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure appropriate buffer stocks/wafer banks to support end customer demand.
- Business Process: Market Model
- Maintain and update a segment-based market model for the human machine interface (HMI) and user experience (UX) markets, including sensor and haptic solutions.
- Business Process: Internal Communication
- Represent the business unit with Qorvo's Marketing Communication group for activities including trademarking, website structure, and trade show communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
- 3-5 years in portfolio management
- Experience consolidating regional forecasts, analyzing complex data, auditing changes, and aligning internal and external forecasts
- Deep understanding of HMI and UX markets, competitive landscape, and financial metrics for pricing strategies
- Proven project management experience, strong organizational skills, and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Experience in demand planning and forecasting tools (e.g., IBP, SAP); familiarity with Vistex or similar systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, and effective stakeholder management
