ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a technical Production Analyst who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company. This role will assist in planning and executing efficient production flow for the company's goods, data or information. Assist in designing schedules and staffing models that provide the best optimization of labor costs, production volume and efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Assist with analyses on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Basis to:
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of production compared to expectations
- What is causing delays in production
- What parts, motors, fans are causing delays in productions
- What parts, motors, fans are we able to produce ahead of production schedule
- Provide solutions to the issues identified
- How does the production mix affect Sales (Gross, net, GM, volume, etc.)
- Analysis detailing the effectiveness of each shift in production (1 st vs. 2 nd )
- Propose solutions as to what could be done to attain production goals or update production expectations based upon performance results
- Clarify & update if needed: MRP estimates and time studies for both AC/EC production
- Define reasonings behind as to why we are or are not meeting production estimates
- Define why we are ahead of production estimates
- Assess the effectiveness of the supply chain
- Are disruptions in the supply chain causing production issues
- Are suppliers causing quality issues
- What is the effect of supply chain disruptions?
- Provide solutions to supply chain issues
- Maintain oversight of inventory:
- Ensure that inventory is being accurately reported
- Analyze inventory and variance reports
- Units are being accurately reflected within ProAlpha on a daily basis
- All units of inventory are accounted for either within the BOM, scrap, etc.
- Ensure that inventory is accurately tracked from the time it is ordered and is received in the warehouses to when it is captured as part of the BOM, utilized in production and eventually sold and input as COGS
- Assist with cycle counting of inventory
- Utilize ProAlpha & DWH where necessary
- Identify where inventory is “lost” or “found” and why it is not being accurately tracked within our ERP systems
- Ensure that cost is being accurately tracked for all parts of inventory
- Including the valuation of raw materials (copper wire, sheet metal, etc.)
- Shrinkage is being considered, analyzed and implemented where appropriate
- Develop plan to perform cycle counts to ensure accurate reporting of inventory values
- Ensure WIP & Overhead calculations are being calculated correctly
- Become familiar with software to ensure implementation of software for 2021 final inventory count
- Work with our colleagues in Germany to assist with Production Controlling tasks
- Follow & update manuals and written reports from your meetings with Germany to fully document:
- Identify which reports ZASE utilizes
- Determine why ZASE utilizes those reports
- Develop/utilize those reports for ZAUS purposes
- From those meetings with Germany, be able to produce analyses that fulfill the stated goals of this role
- Utilize reports from DWH on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accurate, timely, appropriate analyses.
- How to meet efficiency and tracking standards of ZASE here at ZAUS
- Develop comprehensive understanding of the standard costing and all DWH applications
- Interpret and disseminate cost accounting information to Management
- Be able to accurately determine margin and necessary sales price on a part by part basis
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard to actual costs
- Provide Management with cost and comparative reports to indicate needs for changes in pricing or production
- Determine how changes in the BOM effects the total cost and margin
- Identify cost savings within the BOM and total cost tool based upon findings
- Use of standard cost tools
Job Requirements:
- Degree in finance, production technology, industrial engineering or industrial management
- 5-10 years of professional experience in production planning, production organization or production controlling in a manufacturing company
- Negotiating skills, strong communication skills and a high sense of responsibility
- Experience with cost/managerial accounting
