US Farathane is seeking a Quality Auditor for 3rd shift. Hours are 11pm to 7am.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System including auditing of in-process product per instructions as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving, Dock Auditing as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed
- Perform in-process inspection of product and process to determine compliance to internal and external requirements
- Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements
- Monitor data received by subcontractors for compliance to specifications as needed
- Assist in sort operations as needed
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.)
- Maintain work area per housekeeping standards
- Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of quality systems and standards. Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Good organizational and communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to do simple math; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Also, the ability to add positive and negative numbers.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
