The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial leadership, support, and analysis to the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area within Innovative Medicine Research & Development. The position is responsible for all financial aspects related to the portfolio, including strategic decision support and consolidations.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio strategy along with financial alignment and execution of the early and late development compounds and functional budgets, which at times includes partnering with Clinical Development Teams, Project Management Teams, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations and Tax.
- Proactively partnering with Neuroscience leadership and finance team to drive compound strategy across Neuroscience R&D portfolio.
- Analyze the value of project investments in support of strategic program decision-making and scenario analysis.
- Support of Cross-Pharmaceutical Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation support to the Pharmaceutical Research & Development, Operations, and Strategic Marketing organizations.
- Manage financial updates including Business Plan and Long-Range Financial Plan and lead quarterly close cycles for the TA through partner with FP&A and TA Finance team.
- Address ad-hoc Neuroscience business and financial scenarios.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years of Finance, Accounting or related business experience is required.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions).
- Must possess the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Must have strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
- The ability to work independently and handle several tasks simultaneously is required.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Master's/MBA degree preferred. A CPA, CMA or other financial certifications are preferred.
- This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
The base pay range for this position is $73,000 - $117,300.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
