A bout the position … The Labor Analyst I at Power Design works at our corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is integral to our auditing , forecasting , and contract adjustment process. The Labor Analyst assists with the subcontract labor decision-making process by providing reporting and analytics to department managers and executive management .
This is not a traditional analyst role ; it is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing others, and identifying financial and operational risk s in large-scale construction subcontract budgets .
Obtain, analyze, and enter monthly subcontract variances and/or adjustments .
Oversee and support Operations in the contract adjustment process . Lead various conversations regarding subcontract best practices .
Monitor, track, and report on subcontract trends , adjustments , risks , and opportunities for efficiencies.
Actively participate in subcontract labor buyout decisions , providing historical insight and risk analysis to Operations and buyers .
Familiarize with internal/ external contract terms , company policies, procedures /compliance .
Run analytics and create ad hoc reports for projects and divisions to understand better potential risks, concerns , and outcomes of decisions .
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports , and making presentations of findings and analyses .
Familiarize with contract efficiencies by understanding standards , eliminating duplicate efforts , and communicating changes effectively .
Close out subcontract agreements to create accurate historical/comparisons for future negotiations .
Supports senior analysts and managers in data analysis and risk reviews .

H ere’s what we’re looking for…
B achelor’s degree in A ccounting , F inance , B usiness , or other related discipline preferred .
1-3 years of related work experience as an analyst in a financial capacity .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
A problem solver with strong critical thinking skills who can work well independently.
Someone highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills who can maintain high confidentiality and professionalism.
Someone who enjoys working collaboratively with others and building relationships.
