Overview of the Position:
The Controller is responsible for the overall accounting operations of the company. These responsibilities include the preparation, review and analysis of monthly financial reports, including the delivery of reports both internally and at a corporate level. They will communicate financial results to management and provide analysis as necessary. This position will also ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and maintenance of required documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage close of monthly financials. This includes the review and preparation of month-end schedules and supporting documents.
- Provide analysis, information and support to management concerning financial data and metrics.
- Ensures that accounting policies, procedures and internal controls are followed throughout the organization.
- Development and supervision of accounting staff.
- Manage and prepare annual budget and quarterly reforecasts. Review actual financial results compared to budget and provide analysis to management.
- Responsible for financial accuracy within the ERP system as well as control of user access.
- Perform reserve calculations (excess/obsolete, WIP overtime, bad debt, etc.) leveraging data from multiple sources using complex Excel formulas.
- Coordinate and assist with annual physical inventory. Provide required documentation and results.
- Is responsible for the control and administration of cash flow, payables, and receivables.
- All other duties as specified by the company.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
