Description
We’re in search of a Senior Accountant to join our growing Tax team. The Senior performs a broad range of tax engagement tasks by utilizing a good working knowledge of tax procedures and their applications, accounting principles and practices with proper understanding and application of working paper documentation. Seniors may coach one or more staff, instruct them in work to be performed, and help guide their development.

What you will do:
- Applies accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate work papers for tax engagements under the direct supervision of a partner, manager, or supervisor as assigned
- Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Learns and upholds the Firm’s expectations for work quality and professional development as well as the Firm’s cultural and core values
- Follows the progress of engagements and helps to identify and research issues as assigned
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and ongoing education opportunities including CPE development
Position Requirements
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of IRS Circular 230, tax laws, and other professional standards and regulations (Tax)
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- 1 year experience with CPA or EA or 2 years experience.
Bonus Points:
- CPA
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Pursing a CPA
