Tax Senior Associate

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Senior Associate for their Dallas office. In this role, you will collaborate within a team environment, leveraging resources to provide high-quality service and value to clients. You will take the lead on complex tax compliance and consulting engagements, guiding and mentoring Staff on foundational projects while performing comprehensive reviews of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare intricate tax returns, including S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, multistate, and individual filings.
- Conduct first-level reviews of Staff-prepared tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Create and review tax projections and estimated calculations for clients.
- Perform tax research, draft technical memoranda, and prepare supporting work papers to clarify book-to-tax differences.
- Identify and refine an area of tax specialization to build expertise.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients and team members.
- Identify potential tax issues during engagement planning and provide solutions.
- Professionally liaise with the IRS and state authorities as needed, confidently handling federal and state notices.
- Mentor Staff and Interns, providing review feedback and fostering their development.
- Maintain clear communication with management on project progress and milestones.
- Engage actively in both attending and facilitating training and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience, including individual and business taxation.
- Advanced understanding of federal and state tax laws and principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to client service.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
