General Description. An Accounts Receivable Clerk is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs any combination of the duties described more fully, below. An Accounting Clerk in the paving arena typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates.
Key Duties
This position within the Accounting Department at Hubbard Construction Company will provide A/R support for our Orlando Paving Company division. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will perform billing and collections in a fast-paced environment for three asphalt plants from our headquarters in Winter Park.
- Ensure timely efficient billing of invoices weekly to our customers
- Resolve customer billing problems
- Filing of notice to owners, liens and sworn statements of accounts
- Make outbound collection calls/emails for assigned accounts as necessary
- Prepare daily reconciliation and submission of deposit documentation to central accounting team
- Respond to customer requests for lien releases, invoices, ticket copies, or statements
- Currently a notary or eligible to be enrolled as a notary.
- Processing of credit applications for review by division controller
- Computerized billing software experience required (SAP experience a plus)
- Proficiency with MS 365 to include Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F
- Other office duties as assigned and requested

- Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Two (2) years of office-related duties and experience.
