Job Components:
- Support the design and configuration of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and ancillary systems’ infrastructure to help achieve process improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with business/department owners and IT to develop measurement systems, metrics and dashboards to detect, analyze, improve and control transactional processes’ quality, speed and efficiency. Example process areas include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (e.g., invoicing, collection and cash application), General Ledger (G/L) account reconciliations, Intercompany accounting, etc. supporting the Finance organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes by leveraging existing system capabilities.
- Assist in the adoption, testing and integration of additional Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messaging to enhance and align customer remittance with customer billing messaging/automation (820:810 ratio to near 1).
- Help develop and execute IT User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements/changes.
- Perform ad-hoc support as needed, including root cause issue identification and resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in G/L accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or similar high transactional volume environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence team members across functional and reporting lines
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization. Must be able to analyze large datasets and create detailed reports. Experience in data modeling and statistical analysis is a plus
- Working knowledge of accounting practices and internal controls
- Strong experience with SAP Finance (FICO), accounting best practices and business process flows.
- Ability to work with large datasets, perform data mining and analysis and advanced financial reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, implement process improvements and measure their impact.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and deadlines independently.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
Scope:
- Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report processes including G/L accounting and reconciliations. National Account Central Billing & Distributor Reimbursement/Settlement and related processes within Finance and supporting departments.
- Allocate resources efficiently to support Financial Transformation goals and objectives.
- Interact professionally with fellow Team Members and other IB departments.
