The role you’ll contribute:
The Financial Analyst applies technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide timely information to executives and leadership (other corporate departments and facilities). This person demonstrates competencies in decision support and reporting through converting raw data into useful and actionable information. This person is responsible for compiling and analyzing data as well as for creating meaningful applications to support executive decision making. Character traits include: strong work ethic, trainability, communicative, and team player with a positive "can do" attitude.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Routine (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually)
- Compiles monthly data required to populate reports.
- Reconciles and validates monthly financial and statistical data.
- Distributes reports internally and externally.
- Supports business intelligence initiatives by providing business insights and generating ideas for how to synthesize data to aid departmental online dashboard development.
Ongoing/Ad-hoc
- Effectively creates dynamic and sustainable reporting solutions using computer software to support management decision making.
- Maintains thorough and appropriate electronic documentation to instruct others on how to utilize, run, or replicate reports.
- Provides financial information and/or analysis for ad-hoc financial reports or decision support needs.
- Maintains appropriate documentation.
- Provides financial information and/or analysis for clinical improvement and other initiatives.
- Develops, models and tracks key performance indicators.
- Maintains an up-to-date status report of all priorities, tasks, and issues on a weekly basis.
Other
- Collects and analyzes data effectively.
- Interprets data and identifies data relationships and dependencies using professional experience.
- Provides documentation and audit trail for all work output.
- Demonstrates proactiveness and resourcefulness in finding answers and solutions.
- Monitors own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness with data.
- Reviews and validates numerical data based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts and healthcare principles consistently.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field
Preferred qualifications:
- Financial reporting and analysis healthcare related
- Microsoft Visual Basic/Access
- 1-3+ years of healthcare finance experience.
- 2-4 years of business-related experience.
