DESCRIPTION:
- Perform analyses on samples and complex sample preparation.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data.
- Approve data generated (Level I validation - for which the analyst has been trained and validated).
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses.
- Provide input to corrective action procedures.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
- Support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program.
- Ensure that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained.
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
- Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
- Contribute to daily and weekly planning.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a four year degree in Chemistry or Biology and zero to one year of experience in an analytical food testing laboratory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail.
- Delivers timely results and takes part in occasional project work.
- Ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and instructions.
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude.

- Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
