Description
- Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed cost analyses for manufacturing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze cost variances and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize inventory turnover.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Month-end Closing:
- Support month-end closing processes by reconciling cost accounts and preparing necessary journal entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and their impact on cost accounting practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry, preferably aerospace.
- Proficient in cost accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can commute to Los Angeles.
