Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Planner to join our Fee-Only Wealth Management Team in our Orlando, FL market. As a key member of our team, the Financial Planner will collaborate with Wealth Advisors and other professionals to deliver comprehensive financial planning services to high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial planning concepts and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct in-depth client interviews with Wealth Advisors to understand the client’s financial goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and unique financial and personal circumstances.
- Utilize sophisticated financial planning software and tools to analyze clients’ financial situations, including cash flow projections, retirement needs analysis, tax optimization strategies, and estate planning considerations.
- Develop personalized financial plans that integrate investment management, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, insurance analysis, and charitable giving strategies to help clients achieve their long-term objectives.
- Assess clients’ insurance needs and recommend to Wealth Advisor appropriate risk management solutions, such as life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and liability protection.
- Coordinate with Wealth Advisors, estate planning attorneys and tax professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans that preserve wealth, minimize estate taxes, and facilitate the efficient transfer of assets to future generations.
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by providing proactive communication, personalized advice, and exceptional service. Serve as a member of the clients’ Wealth Management team for all financial matters.
- Collaborate with Wealth Manager, Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and other professionals within the firm to deliver integrated wealth management solutions that address clients’ complex needs.
- Ensures BSA compliance by reading and being familiar with the BSA/AML program/policy; following all BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures; and completing all BSA/AML/OFAC related online courses.
- All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. Additional financial planning industry designations preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, preferably serving high-net-worth clients.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial planning principles, investment strategies, tax laws, estate planning techniques, and insurance products.
- Proficiency in financial planning software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and acting in the best interests of clients.
