Synopsis: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as a General Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, assisting with month-end close, employee expense reimbursement review, monthly journal entries, banking activities, various financial reporting activities, and payroll.

Responsibilities- Expense Management:
- Review expenses in Concur and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Print expense reports for payment processing.
- Journal Entries:
- Record journal entries for manual cash transactions.
- Record other month-end journal entries.
- Banking Activities:
- Approve positive pay daily to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Transfer funds between Company and Family LLCs as needed.
- Process all manual checks and ensure proper documentation.
- Post rent payments to related parties and reconcile bank transactions.
- Initiate wire transfers through the bank.
- Credit Card Management:
- Manage company gas cards.
- Reconcile and post corporate credit card transactions.
- Tax Processing:
- Process sales tax for multiple states including Arizona, California, Utah, and Nevada.
- Compile paperwork and pay IFTA (International Fuel Tax Association) dues on the website.
- Workers Compensation and Audits:
- Manage reporting and payment for workers' comp in California, Arizona, Washington State, and Tennessee.
- Coordinate workers' comp audit, retirement plan audit, and profit-sharing contribution audit.
- 401k Administration:
- Apply profit-sharing loan and deferred 401k payments.
- Manage 401k loans and any changes to 401k accounts.
- Payroll:
- Time Sheet Processing.
- Payroll Processing and Reporting.
- Payroll Portal Management.
- Time off Management.
- Other:
- Annual filing of IFTA and DOT for company trucks.
- Annual filing of form 2290 “schedule of heavy highway vehicles.”
- Process and pay registrations for all company cars.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Salary- Competitive salary. Hourly range between $38.50-$43.25.
