The Auditor plays a critical role in inventory control and in providing excellent customer service within the regional distribution center (RDC). The Auditor follows and adheres to the Southshore Companies standard operating procedures to deliver best-in-class customer service while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence. The Auditor is an empowered team member responsible for upholding the culture and values of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Communicates with customers, vendors, drivers, and co-workers in a positive, professional, and respectful manner.
- Match picking sheet to probox placards and slide gate tag.
- Checks for missing clips and assures boxes are locked in place.
- Review SU Number on both sides to make sure they match.
- Review probox to ensure cleanliness.
- Circle the amount on the picking sheet and place a mark by the unit of measure column for each probox on load.
- Count all proboxes and put the total amount on probox line on the last page after loading complete.
- Informs Supervisor or Manager if probox is too dirty to ship out or missing tags.
- Complete Load Inspection Form and note any errors.
- Match the picking sheet to placards and at least one bag on each layer making sure the product and sub product match.
- Check each pallet for damaged bags, dirty or stained bags and have the forklift operator replace them before staging the pallet.
- Ensure each pallet is stacked using the pallet stacking guidelines provided.
- Count all pallets and put the total amount on pallet line on the last page.
- Manage the inbound and outbound shipments and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. This includes, but is not limited to, auditing outbound shipments, verifying inventory counts, checking and entering data, and updating and maintaining databases.
- Provides on-the-job training for new employees as required.
- Recommends process improvements for growth of the company.
- Provides additional backup support shipping and receiving departments.
- Performs cleanup of the area at the end of the shift or as required.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Southshore Companies safety manual.
- Regular (punctual and dependable) attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 plus years of inventory control and audit experience required; additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.
- Prior SAP experience is preferred.
- Inventory control experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:- Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Requires initiative and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
