Job Purpose:
The Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst provides critical financial analysis and modeling to support the Origination team in evaluating and executing prospective loan ventures, helping drive informed investment decisions.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Conducts thorough due diligence on prospective loan ventures by gathering relevant documentation from various sources.
- Drafts proposals and detailed investment memorandums in collaboration with the Origination team.
- Develops comprehensive financial models to evaluate investment structures and provide data-driven insights.
- Performs in-depth market research on due diligence and financial analysis on qualified opportunities.
- Identifies risks and mitigating factors.
- Manages, communicates, and coordinates with third-party professionals.
- Performs market research for commercial real estate trends, including comparable rents, sales, absorption, and growth metrics, to support investment decisions.
- Filters and organizes information to help maximize efficiencies.
- Assesses and communicates risks, recommending mitigation strategies for prospective investments.
- Coordinates with third-party professionals such as appraisers, legal teams, and consultants to ensure smooth transactions.
- Analyzes financial models from prospective borrowers.
- Creates financial models for new business opportunities.
- Monitors ongoing loans, providing ongoing financial analysis and pro forma updates for key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, or accounting.
- 1 - 4 years of relevant experience in real estate, banking, finance, or accounting, with a focus on real estate investment analysis.
