As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will:
- Create improvements to existing PM strategies, expanding your understanding of markets and trading in the process.
- Rigorously develop new techniques and strategies to further increase our scale and risk-adjusted returns.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to efficiently identify and formulate data-driven answers to high-impact research questions.
- Actively explore and pursue interesting data and techniques through academic research, interaction with third-party providers, conference attendance, etc., ultimately converting these into additional firm revenue.
Requirements:
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Mental flexibility: you easily learn and try new techniques, question assumptions (your own and those of others), and adjust your perspective when data suggest doing so.
- Strong programming, data analysis, and problem solving skills using Python and/or R.
- Experience with machine learning and/or optimization techniques is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree required, with a strong preference for a major in a technical discipline from a well-regarded program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quantitative research role in quantitative finance or another technology-intensive field.
