Allyn International is currently looking for a Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team in Fort Myers, FL!
The Payroll and Accounting Specialist supports the Finance department in the areas of compensation analysis, payroll processing, payroll accounting, reporting, audits, compliance, and benefits administration relative to their assigned geographic area(s). This position will require close cooperation with other departments with respect to cross-functional responsibilities and will also assist the Finance team in carrying out various other projects and provide backup for other Finance team members where appropriate.
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Work Schedule: 40 hours, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Compensation: $45,000-$50,000
Physical Demands: Sitting, typing, walking, and talking on the phone.

Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree – focus in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
- Working knowledge of federal and state compensation and benefits laws
- HRIS, payroll, and accounting systems experience
- 2+ years relevant work experience

Responsibilities:
- Processes payroll for the assigned business entity(ies) and geo region(s)
- Manages related entries/bookings in the accounting system as well as reconciliations
- Compiles, analyzes, and presents reports using company’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), payroll, and accounting and expense reporting systems
- Workers’ Compensation, garnishments, and unemployment insurance administration
- Assists with benefits administration including 401(k) Plan, medical and ancillary plans, claims resolution, annual renewal, insurance bill auditing, compliance reporting/notices and filings (e.g., W-2s, 1099-s, ACA forms, federal and state payroll, tax, and unemployment insurance)
- Work with Human Resources and accounting system to secure correct salary book and reconciliation in accounting
- Ensures applicable employment laws and regulations are followed reducing legal risks; maintains records, reports, and logs in accordance with country specific requirements
- Collaborates with Finance and HR team members on annual salary range benchmarking project
- Ensures month/year end reconciliation and timely quarterly close for assigned business entity(ies)
- Work with local authorities on taxes and other statutory levies related to salaries
- Assists with payroll for the Company’s international entities
- Assist with preparation for audits, insurance, etc., as needed
- Supports the Company’s Travel and Leisure (T&L) guidelines
- Timely prepares, processes, files, scans, shreds, and tracks corporate data and documents
- Maintains SOPs
- Follows company data and document retention guidelines
- Escalates issue resolution
- Provides input for strategic development of the department goals, objectives, process improvements, and systems
- Works with multi-functional and regional teams on complex business issues
- Supports corporate values initiatives, employee engagement, and well-being activities
- Supports office administration tasks as needed
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor
