Tax Senior
As a crucial member of our dynamic financial team, the Tax Senior role offers the opportunity to engage in a broad range of tax-related functions within a supportive and flexible work environment. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and supervising tax engagements, managing client relationships, and developing strategic tax planning approaches. This role demands both a high level of technical expertise and an ability to manage projects and teams efficiently.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 plus Bonus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and finalize a range of complex tax returns and related financial reports.
- Lead and manage tax projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with client objectives.
- Supervise team members, providing guidance and support to junior staff to ensure quality and efficiency in client deliverables.
- Engage in continuous learning and training sessions to keep up-to-date with the current tax laws and accounting practices.
- Collaborate with senior management in planning and strategizing for large client engagements.
- Participate in identifying tax planning opportunities and optimizing tax strategies for clients.
- Ensure all firm policies and procedures are followed, upholding the standards of the profession and advocating for teamwork and ethical practice.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- 3+ years of prior public accounting experience is essential.
- Mandatory CPA certification or a clear plan to obtain certification shortly after starting the role.
- Strong expertise in managing large-scale engagements and supervisory skills.
- Proven experience in tax return preparation and a solid grasp of accounting practices.
- Must possess robust problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth tax research and analysis.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in using various accounting and tax software for financial management and reporting preferred.
- Ability to provide leadership and promote a conducive work environment for team development and motivation.
- Experience with client management and meeting client requirements effectively.
- Ability to contribute to business development and firm's growth by identifying client opportunities.
- Thorough understanding of current financial legislation and standards.
