We want a hard-working builder with at least 2 years of experience • Our ideal candidate is a servant leader who leads by example and is willing to work alongside their team. This type of leader earns respect from their team by demonstrating the same values and work ethic they expect from others. They possess discernment and can differentiate when to take a gentle approach versus a firm one. While graciousness is encouraged, we also require a leader who recognizes the importance of adhering to project timelines and safety protocols. Therefore, the ability to quickly dismiss underperforming subcontractors when necessary is a critical skill • You excel at recognizing and retaining competent and ethical subcontractors. You take pride in forming a high-performing team that not only delivers successful renovations but also fosters a culture of mutual support among subcontractors, instead of pointing fingers when errors arise • You have the ability to work both in-office and on the job-site Qualifications: Skills required: • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of construction experience is required for working on major renovation projects, and the average cost of our projects is approximately $40,000 • Financial transparency. All receipts will be turned in to our bookkeeper, which means you don’t have to do any accounting work. We’ve got you covered • Estimating: Be available to tour prospective projects and provide the company with estimates and preliminary budget projections within 48 hours. Upload reports and pictures to company software • Positive relationships with existing sub-contractor base: We are in search of a candidate who has established a positive reputation among subcontractors. It is imperative to note that subcontractors will need to submit their invoices to our company's bookkeeper for payment processing. We also encourage you to actively seek out new subcontractors who can contribute to the growth and success of our company • Licensing: Have passed, or have the ability and qualifications to pass the General Contractor Exam in the State of Florida • Master scheduler: We need you to know how to manage and schedule subs in order to bring projects in on time and on/under budget • Tech Savvy: Proficient in spreadsheet setup, calculations, and budgeting • Attend networking events with company owner: Florida Home Builder Association Meetings • Permitting: Pull permits with appropriate agencies. Work with city inspectors as needed to ensure all inspections are completed, final COs granted, etc. • Reporting: Twice weekly meetings to discuss various projects. Keep detailed daily notes on each project • Detail Oriented: A good finisher that punches out the house properly and makes sure that completion includes a clean, well-punched-out home, ready for the marketplace • Organized: Exhibits strong attention to detail and is skilled at following up and following through • Dynamic, Fast Learner: The ability and desire to constantly learn and improve is a must • Self-motivated : Have the drive, initiative, and willingness to take action and accomplish goals without external pressure or supervision. Must be able to identify and pursue their own goals, maintain focus and momentum toward those goals, and overcome obstacles and challenges along the way. They are able to manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay productive and proactive even in the face of setbacks or distractions • Located in, or relocating to Cape Coral/ Fort Myers, FL • GC license is not required but is preferred Compensation: $60,000 plus bonus
