OHFA's Office of Finance positions the agency as a financially stable housing partner by appraising the agency's financial position & issuing periodic reports on the agency's financial stability, which lead to the publication of Audited Agency Financial Statements. The Office prepares & reports on approximately $2 billion in total assets which is presented in a monthly report to the OHFA Board. The Office maintains a positive working relationship with lending institutions & the financial community.
What You'll Do
The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the Single Family Accounting Manager position. They will:
- Administer OHFA's monthly & annual accounting functions & reporting of OHFA's financial position for all Mortgage Revenue Bonds.
- Manage & supervise the Single-Family Accounting staff.
- Establish & maintain policies & procedures to comply with bond covenants, loan program guidelines & bond accounting schedules.
- Work with staff & outside auditors to conduct audits & close vulnerability gaps of OHFA's bond processes.
- Assist Chief Financial Analyst in gathering data for cost analysis of existing & new programs.

Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate on their application how they meet the preferred qualifications to receive further consideration (e.g., test &/or interview). Those qualifications are:
- Three years' experience in accounting;
- Two years' experience in supervision; AND
- Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree and two years' experience reporting transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Preference will be given to those candidates who possess a Certified Public Accountant Certification.
Please Note:
- Per the DAS equivalency chart, lead work is an equivalency for supervisor experience.
- Experience may have been earned concurrently.
