Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. The Accounts Receivable (AR) team is searching for an intern pursuing a Business or Finance degree to support and learn from the AR team. The successful candidate will participate in a rotational program learning the AR functions of cash applications, collection management, dispute management, AR automation, credit review and analysis, go green initiative, agency statement analysis, AR refunds, and medical education billing.
This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility.
Main Objective:
To learn and experience all areas of accounts receivable through the AR rotational program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze agency AR statements.
- Research AR refunds and application of debits/credits.
- Review and analyze credit lines of existing customers.
- Application of cash payments and short pay research/resolution.
- Provide support to collection team on small accounts.
- Assist resolution team on research for disputed items.
Education and Experience:
- Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business Management. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
