The Senior Private Banker is responsible for expanding the growth of client relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen existing relationships. This role proactively and independently advises on the client’s financial needs and speaks to the full array of the Private Bank's capabilities. The Private Banker establishes and deepens relationships with internal and external partners and Centers of Influence (COIs) to identify prospects. In addition, this role executes the client management process and partners across the enterprise to provide an unparalleled client experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drives inflows of new business across all product lines (Credit, Investments, Deposit) into existing book of business including identifying appropriate prospects within defined target markets, creating and managing an effective prospect list, and performing activities to ensure growth in loan and deposit.
- Leads complex credit opportunities, i.e. structured credit deals.
- Grows organic book balances and year-over-year revenue.
- Acts as COO (Chief Operations Officer) for the client team, coordinating relationship management activities and managing successful delivery of the client experience.
- Identify opportunities for further business integration with internal partners (Commercial, Small Business, etc).
- Builds relationships with internal and external partners and centers of influence for new client acquisition.
- Cross-sells products to existing clients.
- Evaluates client’s financial data or investment objectives and recommends strategies based on the client’s risk profile and personal financial statements.
- Ensures that all relevant information is provided to the credit department in a timely and efficient manner so that all credits can be appropriately underwritten and decisions can be made for our clients in an expeditious manner.
- Utilizes the credit department to assist in the underwriting of all credits over individual lending limits, and the small business lending center for all credits within the scope of small business and conclude the underwriting process by reaching concurrence with the credit department.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelors required
- 5-7 years experience in managing relationships with high net worth clients required
- Credit origination experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent ability to work in team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and influence / partnership skills.
- Significant knowledge of banking and credit: general understanding of investments, trust and wealth transfer.
- Ability to develop sales and negotiation skills to be effective in business development. Can interact with and develop centers of influence and other referral sources.
- Strong understanding of all products and services applicable to target client segment.
- Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; aligns work with strategic goals.
- Understands the basics of credit underwriting.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferred
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred
- Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) preferred

The targeted salary for this role is: $116,954.00 - $152,040.00
