CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant I. The Accountant I performs routine accounting transactions timely and accurately in accordance with accounting principles, policies, and procedures while complying with internal controls.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare sub-system journal entries; reconcile basic general ledger accounts; For example, fixed asset transactions, cash reconciliations, and related clerical tasks.
- Participate in the month-end sub-ledger close process.
- Assist with the performance of accounting operations functions including voids, check copies, and other clerical tasks.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, accounting procedures, and the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and regulatory compliance.
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Knowledge in utilizing accounting systems for transaction processing.
- Analytical with attention to detail, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Salary Range:
- $43,600.00 - $68,800.00 annually.
- Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
- In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
