AUDIT & ASSURANCE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT POSITION SUMMARY:
The Audit & Assurance Senior Accountant is responsible for leading audit and assurance engagements, directing staff and providing superior client service as well as being flexible to support other Firm service lines on an as needed basis.
AUDIT & ASSURANCE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establishes effective working relationships with clients and employees
- Works with Staff and Interns to lead, develop, and support
- Understands client needs and takes initiative to recommend creative solutions rooted in industry knowledge
- Ensures timely client communications take place and internal deadlines are met
- Identifies engagement and project issues as they arise and addresses them immediately
- Monitors project and engagement progression through wrap-up, report issuance and archiving to ensure client satisfaction and overall success
- Works with internal team-members to ensure effective and efficient outcomes take place
- Communicates in a timely manner to internal engagement executives and appropriate client personnel regarding assigned projects/engagements
- Maintains confidentiality with internal and external information
- Stays up to date with accounting and auditing guidance and developments related to all Practice Lines
- Understands and adheres to Firm policies and procedures
- Participates in Firm committees and activities
- Promotes the Firm positively in the community and through professional organizations involvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
AUDIT & ASSURANCE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years in public accounting or equivalent industry experience
- CPA certification is preferred or progress toward obtaining CPA certification
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple client engagements
- Desire to have fun with your work and to contribute to our unique company culture
