Job Title: Senior Process Analyst, Distribution Systems
Description
EXL is looking for a Senior Process Analyst, Distribution Systems. This candidate will support brand-new Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on cost, and on scope for a major logistics center and satellite distribution centers. The WMS replacement is a key initiative to upgrade aging infrastructure and transform distribution capabilities for the future. The project will lay the groundwork for the development and deployment of key capabilities (People, Process, Automation, and Technology) to improve efficiency and effectiveness while keeping customer needs central.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inbound and outbound systems functionality expertise to support 3PL DC operations and assist in developing a Concept of Operations for how the DC will work in the new WMS.
- Collaborate across the broader supply chain network, including Distribution Excellence, Planning, MAKE, Transportation, IT/DT, Customer Service, Engineering, and more to confirm business requirements and support simulation testing.
- Participate in end-to-end process mapping for current and future state, ensuring the broader supply chain ecosystem (upstream and downstream system processes) is represented and aligned with business strategy.
- Collaborate with multi-functional business process design efforts to develop warehouse distribution systems processes from concept to reality.
- Work cross-functionally to define Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for all WMS processes and related functionality to meet the Concept of Operations and all applicable quality, GxP, IAPP, and security guidelines.
- Find opportunities to apply base product functionality to improve the template and lead the business to industry standard methodology solutions.
- Identify and define opportunities to improve base product functionality to add to the core template.
- Handle risks efficiently, identify potential problems and gaps early, and assist in resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Systems, or Business.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Medical Device sector/industry experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of Warehouse Management System Management, Maintenance, and Implementation experience.
- Experience constructing and implementing Business and Operational strategies (Concept of Operations).
- Ability to configure WMS systems to meet MVP.
- Ability to use data and analytics to drive data-based solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proven track record working cross-functionally and applying End-to-End thought processes.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a drive for ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Preferred:
- End-to-End supply chain knowledge and experience, such as operations, network planning, and/or systems implementations.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Expertise in SAP Order To Cash or ERP order management processes.
- Experience with SAP EWM.
- Knowledge or experience with medical device supply chain processes or similar business environments.
- Experience with Jira.
- Agile Methodology knowledge and experience.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS methodologies knowledge and/or certifications.
Other:
- Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic travel required (location dependent).
- Position located in Memphis, TN, with consideration for other U.S. locations.
