Job Title: Cog Staff Accountant
Job Pay Range: $58,000-$65,000 annually

As a member of the Cog Railway team, this person will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties:
- Posts bi-weekly payroll entry to the GL.
- Posts and reconciles credit card/cash postings on a daily basis.
- Prepares both standard and non-standard monthly entries and runs Financial Statements.
- Prepares worksheets and reconciliation for Sales and Use Tax.
- Reconciles the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to balance the associated fixed asset GL accounts.
- Prepares Bank Reconciliations.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly. Reviews with Controller.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful) and electronic point of sale systems.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To read and analyze financial reports and respond to common inquiries from internal managers/directors.
- To effectively present information to top management and regulatory agencies.
- To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 10 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
