Job Description:

The Senior Interline Pricing Analyst is part of the Revenue Management Department and will support the implementation and execution of our Airline Partnership pricing strategy, ensuring that Southwest is implementing and executing an approach that enhances Southwest revenue position. This role will provide recommendations and solutions for Southwest Airlines' entry into a partnership agreement with another carrier and the ongoing execution of those agreements. The Senior Interline Pricing Analyst is a self-starter who is proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to drive the future of Southwest.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute Southwest Airlines interline pricing strategy
- Assist in negotiating Special Prorate Agreements with other airlines that align with Southwest's Commercial goals
- Build relationships across Southwest's Commercial, Operations, and Technology Teams to ensure ease of execution of agreements
- Assist in setting and aligning Southwest's direction and goals with partner carriers and provide internal guidance and input to achieve successful contract negotiations
- Analyze the revenue performance of airline partnership agreements and develop senior-level reports and presentations for leadership and other departments
- Work effectively across teams, listen well, consider diverse opinions, contribute fully to the team's success, drive consensus, and keep Commercial partners informed of developments on initiatives
- Lead or initiate analytical projects
- Serve as a mentor and a Leader in Revenue Management
- Complete analysis utilizing moderate Excel functions including, but not limited to: pivot tables, formulas, lookups
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Airline Partnerships, Alliances, and the ever-changing competitive dynamic of the airline industry with a particular focus on alliances and partnership structures
- Advanced knowledge of pricing and revenue management principles
- Knowledge of implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data by turning raw data into meaningful information
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people by air and alternatives, including the relative costs and benefits
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization's strategic plan
- Ability to communicate in a flexible and effective manner
- Ability to analyze and predict problems that may arise
- Skilled in Microsoft Office including Excel/spreadsheets
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Interline and Codeshare Pricing, including Special Prorate Agreement
- Revenue Management and Pricing principles and practices
- Support complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders at all levels
- Presenting to Senior Executives
- High-level analytical problem solving
- Preferred: Experience with designing, negotiating, and monitoring SPAs.
Licensing/Certification:
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to perform work duties from a limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications:
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive market salary from $91,250 per year to $101,400 per year depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
