Responsibilities & Requirements:
Position duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides Finance Manager, Finance Director, and Executive team with data as requested. Produces monthly financial and statistical reports as requested by department leaders. Manage physician payments and all hospital contracts. Assist with ad hoc requests, budgets, monthly financial analysis of the income statement, and other financial analysis as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office package including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Create ad hoc reports as needed by utilizing hospital data software.
- Project management skills required, excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Develop tracking, reporting, and monitoring systems related to all non-physician hospital contracts.
- Develop tracking, reporting, and monitoring systems related to the physician payment process.
- Process physician payments and retain contracts in a timely and effective manner in order to meet the requirements outlined by compliance.
- Assist in completing annual labor and non-labor budgets by working collaboratively with division leaders.
- Facilitate initiatives among division departments and committees; promoting improvements and efficiency in quality, patient and physician satisfaction, and cost.
- Preparing month-end financial close general ledger entries and reports.
- Various other budget, financial analysis and account reconciliations as assigned.
Skills:
- Proficient in accounting systems, PC financial tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to explain and discuss financial data.
- Ability to evaluate statistical data for use in planning and monitoring patient trends.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in finance, strategy, and planning.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a comparable related field required.
Work Experience
- Background in strategic planning, financial analysis, forecasting, and pro forma development preferred.
- 2-5 years of financial analyst experience, preferably in healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications:
- System analyst experience preferred.
- Certified Payroll professional preferred – FPC or CPP.
