The Staff Accountant II supports the Accounting Manager and other staff members in the timely completion of monthly journal entries and reports, ad-hoc data queries, account reconciliations, and documentation of key policies and procedures in addition to assisting in the preparation of all necessary audit schedules and analysis of the monthly financial statements in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”
Pay Rate: $20.60 - $30.05 per hour.
Pay is dependent on education and experience.
Essential Functions:

- Performs ad-hoc data queries as requested and conducts further account detail analysis communicating their findings
- Proactively reviews financials and researches causes of various scenarios
- Communicates with senior management of material errors and possible issues
- Proactively works with other departments to identify process or systemic differences with the assigned accounts
- Works closely with Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountants to resolve any/all identified issues
- Maintains monthly account reconciliations in a format acceptable for use in the year-end audit
- Completes assigned reconciliations within the specific due dates and resolves all outstanding items in a timely manner
- Ensures timely entry of the monthly journal entries closing under an assigned schedule
- Writes up and enters all necessary adjusting entries for assigned accounts required during the month and as identified by the supervisor
- Assists the manager in the preparation of all required annual and tax return schedules
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
- 2 years practical experience in account reconciliation, general ledger, and reporting desired
- 1-3 years administrative/clerical experience
- 1-3 years customer service experience
