Overview:
Reviews and analyzes the integrity of financial information and results through compliance with firm policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Possesses and applies a diversified knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures to complete assignments with integrity and accuracy. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to project solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews all balance sheet accounts for accuracy for US, UK, China in reconciliations with supporting documentation on a monthly, continuing basis
- Records and books recurring monthly journal entries, proper reclass entries, accruals, payroll entries, etc. for all companies
- Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries
- Performs monthly closing responsibilities including preparing, analyzing and processing financial transactions (journal entries)
- Completes projects assigned to address issues within the financials (revenue projects, contract projects, internal controls, etc.)
- Reviews P&L for offices to ensure that activity appears reasonable on monthly variances and analysis of variances (actual to budget on P&L)
- Reviews and prepares month-end financial reporting packets
- May handle special accounting projects, taking responsibility for the administration and integrity of the project
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Supports the accounting and finance departments in enhancing the firm's existing accounting procedures and internal controls and seeks opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
- Performs work in a manner that demonstrates an awareness of and an appreciation for the firm's cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth
- May act as a mentor by coaching and motivating project team members
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team

- Assists in identifying and implementing cost savings ideas in collaboration with team

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPA license preferred
- Typically with 4+ years of experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in Deltek Vision preferred
- Experience with financial reporting including footnotes
- Strong knowledge of accounting, GAAP principles and data analytics
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
