Job Description:
Director, US Credit Card _Commercial Lead
We are seeking an experienced professional to help drive the growth and optimization of PayPal’s Revolving Credit Products. In this role, you will partner with PayPal internal teams and our Bank Partner to launch new products and initiatives that support new account growth and activation. You will be responsible for the success of credit portfolios by executing on strategies that ensure achievement of portfolio objectives and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver new product strategies to drive adoption of PayPal credit products working across functional teams across PayPal and bank partner.
- Develop and own new account forecasts by channel, working with Marketing and various product owners across PayPal to drive company profitability; oversee and set direction for multi-million-dollar marketing fund.
- Lead and partner with Product and Marketing teams to develop and launch initiatives related to account acquisition and activation; includes building enhanced acquisition targeting models and offer engines across channels.
- Partner with Credit Risk and Fraud to optimize strategies across consumer segments to drive portfolio growth utilizing internal and 3rd party data sources.
- Own post-approval/customer engagement strategies, partnering with SYF, Marketing, product, and PP Consumer teams.
- Lead and responsible for execution of new product launches and initiatives for revolving credit products.
- Provide day-to-day management and oversight of all in-flight initiatives and workstreams; work across teams to minimize key risks and ensure timely and flawless delivery of projects.
Experience & Skills:
- Outstanding business professional with 10+ years of experience, including commercial, operations and/or product management.
- Experience with Revolving Credit products; specifically launching new products, initiatives and new acquisition strategies.
- Ability to collaborate with teams including product, marketing, legal/compliance, etc. using outstanding influencing skills, and strong senior-level communication abilities to drive decisions.
- Experience leading others indirectly (leadership without authority), cross-functional collaboration skills required.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing work environment.
- Problem solver, with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate to evolving business needs.
- Proven track record of collaboration and influence in a matrixed environment; strong sense of urgency with the ability to “get things done” across matrixed organization.
- Familiarity and understanding of PayPal and Consumer Credit Products.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
