Responsibilities
- Build up an effective and efficient team of finance professionals in our SSC. Motivate and coach them with the aim of making optimal use of and developing their capabilities, skills and knowledge.
- Set up the standard process model including supporting documentation (flow charts, work instructions, etc.) for the services in scope.
- Lead the migration of finance activities in scope from local entities in the EMEA region to our SSC in Barcelona within the next 2 years.
- Act as consultant for Finance in the migration projects from Navision and local ERPs to Dynamics 365.
- Ensure timely staffing and smooth onboarding of new colleagues by implementing a structured onboarding program.
- Define the direction of the team, set priorities and clear goals, and translate them into concrete actions, initiatives, and KPIs.
- Ensure integrity and correctness of the financial statements for all legal entities under your responsibility. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements to Group Accounting (monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities).
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of journal entries into our ERP systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of transactional services to internal customers in accordance with SLAs.
- Ensure service delivery is in line with Group policies and guidelines.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Build strong collaborative relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Preferably you have an academic degree in Business Administration.
- You are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- You have several years of experience in Accounting, preferably in multiple countries and in an international SSC environment.
- You are customer-oriented with a positive collaborative attitude.
- You are a people person with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in leading teams and individuals with an eye for talent and people development.
- You are constantly looking for improvement areas with the ability to think outside of the box and find creative solutions for complex challenges.
- You are resilient and stress-resistant and have excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- You have strong analytical skills combined with a strong conceptual understanding of finance data and ERP systems.
- You are proactive and independent with a hands-on mentality.
