Our Business Analyst for our Retail Sales Audit, Inventory Control, Stock Ledger, Price Management, Promotions Management, and Lifecycle Pricing Optimizations systems will support our internal customers throughout the company by leading efforts in gathering requirements, creating specifications, coordinating communications, managing projects, testing releases, and developing partnerships.
INTERACTION:
- Reports to Technology Manager - Merchandising
- Extensive interaction with IS management and other team members.
- Extensive interaction with customers throughout the company.
- Extensive interaction with IS business partners.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with our business customers.
- Partner with the business to analyze needs and to develop requirements for different projects.
- Conduct analysis to take on various business opportunities that may include process improvement, system enhancements, or procurement of new solutions.
- Develop functional specifications based on project requirements.
- Engage in project and task management, including defining deliverables, managing scope, and tracking progress.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of Bealls Sales Polling, Store PLU, Oracle Retail Sales Audit, Corporate Inventory Control, Store Inventory Control, Transaction Processing, Stock Ledger, Lifecycle Pricing Optimizations, Physical Inventory, Price, Promotion, and Clearance processes.
- Assist with developing documentation and training materials.
- Assist with developing and managing the test script document library to test software for compliance within functional and technical specifications.
- Triage complex issues and effectively communicate business impact and resolution.
- Manage system patches and releases for cloud-based applications.
- Initiate and manage Service Requests with external partners.
- Use SQL to analyze data, resolve issues, and answer requests for information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
- There are light supervisory responsibilities for this position as defined above.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Position requires employee to be able to perform professional office duties, such as prolonged use of a personal computer, periodic phone usage throughout the day, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SQL.
- Experience with a Retail ERP system, such as: Oracle RMS, Oracle ReSA, Oracle RPM, Lifecycle Pricing Optimizations, and Oracle Store Inventory Operations Cloud Services.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
